[Rotaeno 4th Anniversary - New Feature: “Completion” and Rating Adjustments]
With the V2.23 4th Anniversary update, in order to create a healthier progression curve and more accurately reflect each pilot’s skill growth, we will be updating the overall Rating system and introducing the new “Completion” system.
⭐️Rating Adjustments
Based on our recent player survey and our development team’s internal evaluation, we found that the previous rule, where reaching a score of 1,010,000 resulted in a significant Rating increase, could negatively affect the player experience. Therefore, we will remove this rule and adjust the Rating progression curve to make it smoother and more balanced. In addition, we will also adjust the Chart Constants of many charts so that they better reflect each chart’s actual difficulty. Due to the changes above, some players may see changes to their Rating after the update.
🎯The “Completion” System
To encourage pilots to keep pushing their limits over the long term, rather than focusing solely on their highest Rating, we are introducing a brand-new long-term challenge system: “Completion!” The Completion system will unlock once a pilot reaches Pilot Level 50.
📃 Overall Completion is calculated based on the player’s scores across all eligible songs. Songs that have been removed from the game or have not yet been unlocked will not be included. Based on these scores, the system will calculate both Completion Points and an Overall Completion percentage.
📃 Achieving a score of 1,010,000 on a song will grant 100% Track Completion for that song.
📃 Overall Completion will be calculated as follows:
- For difficulties I to IV, the system will calculate the weighted value of each difficulty and use the highest value among them.
- IV α will be calculated separately.
We hope this new system will provide our pilots with more enjoyable and rewarding challenges!
