There's no smoking gun single answer - data plays a huge part, we lean on our community team to relay wider sentiment, lots and lots of playtime ourselves etc. We have access to a significant amount of data that the wider community doesn't, which helps inform a lot of decisions

Runners keep runninโ€™ - new balance tweaks & bug fixes coming in hot ๐Ÿ”ฅ These changes aim to keep the Chaos Exploder Rifle in check, while giving other Shotguns a chance to shine too. Consumables & utility items have had a drop rate pass, and bugs with Vending Machines & Supply Drops are fixed. Take a look: BALANCE ๐Ÿ”ถ Chaos Exploder Rifleโ€™s explosion damage to environment and players, explosion radius, fire rate, and headshot multiplier are reduced. It now equips faster. โซ Maven Auto and Extending Focus Shotguns damage increased. โ†˜๏ธ Chug Jugs and Vault Keys are less common. โ†—๏ธ Brick-A-Bunkers are more common. FIXES ๐Ÿ’ฐ Fixed Vending Machine prices in Build Zero Build. ๐Ÿ  Fixed an issue causing WAAAAAYYY too many Midas Floppers to drop (sorry anglers). ๐Ÿ“ฆ Adjusted drop rates for consumables and you will always find shields in rare ammo boxes. ๐ŸŽˆ Supply Drops should no longer be empty in Competitive.

Launch day's looking good! ๐Ÿ™Œ We just dropped a few quick balance tweaks to fine-tune the fun: ๐Ÿ’ฅ Chaos Exploder Rifle now deals slightly less damage and has a smaller magazine size ๐Ÿ’ฃ Overdrive Grenades now drop more frequently โฌ†๏ธ Striker Pump Shotgun now equips faster ๐Ÿ”ซ Lancehead Pistol now deals more damage, performs better at range, has improved handling, and drops more frequently ๐Ÿ”„Extending Focus Shotgun (Triple Barrel) now reloads faster ๐Ÿ—๏ธ Vault Keys are now significantly less common (more of a bug fix than a balance adjustment)
