I’m running for Treasurer because no one is better prepared to use this office to make life easier for Nevadans. My background in government finance and leading a state government-focused think tank—advising lawmakers, leading teams, authoring legislation, passing reforms—has prepared me for the real work of this job.
The Treasurer’s office is about far more than investing; it’s about solving policy problems. Saving the Millennium Scholarship, returning unclaimed property more efficiently, improving financial literacy, and supporting infrastructure needed for Nevada’s booming growth are policy challenges—and solving those challenges has been my career.
I also bring a proven record as a government watchdog. Nevada is one of just a few states without an inspector general. To prevent Nevada from becoming the next Minnesota or California, we need a Treasurer who will protect every penny, demand accountability, and serve as an aggressive steward of taxpayer dollars.
I have spent my career working at the National Taxpayers Union, Citizens Against Government Waste, and Newsmax, exposing waste, fraud, and abuse of tax dollars. I’ve saved taxpayers $60 billion by exposing wasteful programs, from a $100 million military recruiting scheme that recruited no one, to revealing our state tax dollars went to screen a movie about two friends creating an oral sex prostitution business.
No other candidate has my record of solving policy problems and protecting taxpayers. Donald Trump called me “a tremendous America First candidate with an incredible record of success.” If elected, I’ll bring that same record of integrity, accountability, and results to the Treasurer’s office.
