The shovels are in the ground at the home of #LUFC, as the first signs of the transformation of Elland Road are appearing. The initial construction stage of the project will expand the John Charles West Stand from the existing capacity of 8,000 to 17,552. The new West Stand will be around a third larger than the East Stand. It is hoped work on the West Stand will be completed by the end of 2028, raising the total capacity of Elland Road to around 47,000. The Don Revie North Stand will be the next stand to be redeveloped, with work hoping to begin (shortly after the completion of the West Stand redevelopment) at the start of 2029, and to be completed before the end of 2030. The North Stand's current capacity of 10,414 will be expanded to 15,300.
