ALT As you know, a car exploded outside a hospital in Liverpool on the 14th, Remembrance Sunday, in a suspected terrorist incident. On the 15th Mr Nickerson tweeted a picture of the car ablaze, having photoshopped in a prominent Labour politician holding a poppy wreath. This is a revolting statement. Mr Nickerson has effectively accused this unrelated politician of sympathising with terrorism, making a punchline out of a genuine threat to innocent lives, while dragging an emblem of our Remembrance through the mud. In so doing, Mr Nickerson has breached articles 1 and 5 of ERYC’s Code of Conduct: he has failed to treat others with respect and he has brought his office into disrepute.
