What a week on our annual turkey hunt down here. There are so many gobblers, the population where we have hunted is awesome!
Headed back home for a couple days then we head out west for the last leg of the slam!

Probably the biggest turkey we have ever seen😳
As you can see the arrow looks perfect right until the bird raises it’s wing and bats down the arrow😭he was completely fine and didn’t know what happened. He even gobbled a couple times as he worked off.

Booked it to Kansas for the archery season before Iowa’s opener and it was EPIC! Run and Gun (with a bow) and got my bird in 20 minutes! 3 gobblers came in perfectly and that was it. This might be the best start to turkey season we have ever had! Let’s keep it rolling!!!

We are down here with good friend Mark Scroggins @woodhavencustomcalls chasing some rio’s! This is a hunt we have been looking forward to for quite some time now. Carson and I both have tags in our pocket and it’s go time in the morning!
