i really cant recommend someone hertz enough. it doesnt seem like much at first. somewhat standard romcom, and its good enough at that! but it slowly reveals itself to be a really loving tribute to little communities and their importance.
its a story that loves the sanctuary and sense of belonging people get from things like podcasts and radio shows. the sense of community and connection that comes with that, even if you never meet most other listeners. its a very earnest and good faith view on fandom.
i think the ultimate testament to armored core 6's story is that it makes you care so much about a bunch of characters who exist only as voices. rusty. walter. ayre. cinder. iguazu. GOD! "look at you 621. you found a friend" is INGRAINED in my head.
id really love to work on a cool show again... i wish finding work wasnt such a nightmare right now. indie animation is so cool and exciting but even it doesnt have enough jobs for everyone looking right now.
i have 3 years of storyboard experience across two big studios and i feel like i just have no prospects... hopefully things turn around soon. id really love to work on something like gaslight district or gameoverse.
last year i began working on a little ff6 fan visual novel as a proof of concept to possibly make my own original visual novel. i should really get back to it because these terras are maybe some of my best drawings ever.
the anime only sequences added to the third episode of witch hat were so profoundly beautiful that i got misty eyed. the question has, somehow, gone from "can the witch hat anime possibly do justice to the manga?" to "is the anime SOMEHOW the best way to experience this story?"
the manga is still a MASTER CRAFT of its medium. i think everyone should experience both honestly. i just truly cant believe that it even compares. that it took on the challenge with this much love and care is really incredible to see
this season of anime is cracked i kind of feel like we're in a golden age? witch hat and daemons of the shadow realm are both shaping up to be nuts adaptations of series i love, while nippon sangoku is maybe the freshest production ive seen in a long time stylistically.
and this is coming off season 2 of frieren, you and i are polar opposites, journal with witch! ive been eating good! i just wish i liked the iruma anime... its made with a lot of heart, but 0 budget. oh well
