Imagine you walked into a store & all you could see was a library of books about the company. Would you take time to read them? Probably not. So why do we have useless knowledgebase bots on our websites without any real sales/interpersonal skills? @_nightsweekends here we go.

In the NYT today, Cade Metz implies that I left Google so that I could criticize Google. Actually, I left so that I could talk about the dangers of AI without considering how this impacts Google. Google has acted very responsibly.

It's surprisingly helpful merely to remind founders that they're playing a positive-sum game. Many haven't realized it explicitly. Knowing this both increases their morale and shows them where to channel their energy: into making customers' lives better.
