@NYCBikeLanes @StreetsblogNYC Question for you. There is a building going up on DeKalb by Ashland and they were given a permit to take over the sidewalk. They put a pedestrian detour out that eliminates the bike lane. I thought they weren't allowed to do that?

For additional detail this is the project. The funny thing is that they are barely building anything on DeKalb so not clear why they need so much of the sidewalk street. newyorkyimby.com/2022/04/dem…

Also not a great sign for the future Ashland Pl bike lane updates. Presumably this will take 3 years to build.
So confusing to me that everyone puts out stage profiles showing the distance starting from zero when TV always shows a distance countdown. Wouldn't it make sense to have them be the same???
Watching the Giro as Nibali attacks on the downhill the most relevant question is whether Almeida gets dropped. Yet there are no images that really answer that question. The direction is a bit crazy.
Watching the Itzulia it is interesting how they are actually trying to add in team car videos and race radio. They still have some work to make it really work but I hope that other races follow in their coverage.

The fun thing about the current crop of top riders is that they don't optimize strategy. They would probably each win a lot more if they did but things would be a lot less fun.
Not that cycling can ever become F1 but definitely interesting to see what F1 did to really help grow in the US (and worldwide).
