Description from CMOR user: “This has been a drought hit area for several years, typical creeks that run in the winter have not run in over 5 years. The danger of fire is very high. We ranch on about 28,000 acres and have some irrigated pasture. The heat this spring was very critical in elevating the drought and fire risks.”

Abnormal dryness through exceptional drought improved: for abnormal dryness or drought, from 100% to 97%; for moderate drought or worse, from 96.42% to 87.99%; for severe drought or worse, from 82.32% to 61.64; for extreme drought, from 39.45% to 26.49%; and for exceptional drought, from 8.41% to 2.01%. Abnormal dryness through extreme drought improved: for abnormal dryness or drought, from 90.72% to 80.76%; for moderate drought or worse, from 77.46% to 61.34%; for severe drought or worse, from 77.46% to 61.34%; and for extreme drought, from 41.61% to 5.49%. The Drought Severity and Coverage Index fell from 305 to 233 of 500.
