Excavators have begun dredging sections of the Wewe River at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (KNUST), as authorities work to reclaim drainage capacity and strengthen the University's long-term flood resilience. The exercise, being undertaken through a collaboration between KNUST, the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council and the Ashanti Regional Office of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), follows an assessment that identified river overflow, silted channels and restrictions within drainage pathways as contributing factors to the recent incident. Thank you for the kind words @eddie_wrt . To me, leadership is not about cameras or recognition; it is about being present when students need support. Assisting fellow students during the rainfall was simply the right thing to do. As students, we look out for one another, and I will continue to serve with compassion, humility, and a genuine commitment to the welfare of every KNUST student. β€” Nana Agyekum Boateng (Dr. Walker) as YOUR NEXT KNUST SRC PRESIDENT✊

Today, as part of my door-to-door engagement campaign, my team and I had the opportunity to interact with students at Brunei Complex. It was a fruitful and insightful experience, allowing us to listen to concerns, share our vision, and strengthen our connection with the student body. Thank you to everyone who welcomed us and shared their thoughts. See you in your classrooms soon πŸ™πŸΏ #Drwalker4SRCpresident #LockIn
