The World Cup soccer announcer in the Turkey vs Australia game just said “you can’t win a game early but you can lose a game early.” How the hell does that make any sense? If you lose a game early, by default, that means that the other team won the game early. I have a very strong hatred for all of the stupid cliche phrases like this that get repeated non-stop and are just absolute, complete bullshit.

Sad to hear that he passed away. I really think Aldon Smith was one of the most talented LBs/DEs to ever play in the NFL.

America is really rolling out the red carpet for our new friend Freddy 😂🇺🇸🇺🇸

Let me explain why I think Freddy resonates. Lots of Europeans visit the USA as tourists. They visit New York City, or Washington DC, or Hollywood, or Las Vegas, and if they visit natural beauty too, they go to really crowded places like the Grand Canyon or Yellowstone. So while they see our cultural and natural icons, they are mostly in blue cities and they therefore also see the decline, the homeless, the drugs, the dirt and the rude, rude Americans. But Freddy is not doing that. Freddy is driving, and he’s doing it through the heartland, where people are kind and polite, the skies are wide open, and the bounty of Buc-ees and Bass Pro Shops are overwhelming. Freddy is not seeing fentanyl and decline. He is seeing the real, hopeful, patriotic, kind America that European tourists rarely traverse. And he loves it. That’s why Freddy is a phenomenon.

Remember when people said America hosting the World Cup would make the United States look terrible and make people hate us? Well, that exact opposite is happening. It’s interesting how people that actually come here always end up loving it and wanting to stay. 🇺🇸🇺🇸

I must say, it is great to see our entire men’s soccer team standing with hands over their hearts and singing our beautiful National Anthem together at the FIFA World Cup! 🇺🇸🇺🇸

This is why soccer/futbol is the toughest sport in the entire world. This player took a BRUTAL cheap shot to the back from a ball kicked well over 100 mph. Not only was this warrior able to quickly and miraculously recover but he even managed to somehow FINISH THE GAME! ⚽️🔥
