OMG! Like literally tomorrow I start to make my way to Germany and for initiating my PhD. Perched in my balcony just thinking about it. Of all thoughts of mine my hometown has withstanded, this is seems to be the wildest. Completely thrilled to delve into it.

Yesterday, I literally spent my entire afternoon doing/learning bioinformatics and listening to Tiesto. @tiesto please collaborate again with @AvaMax

Packing up my things tonight 'Cause I am moving out of São Paulo. End of a cycle, but new ones will begin very soon in Germany! For now please pray so I can sleep during this 10h bus ride until my hometown.

Nothing compares to a chill Friday night with red wine and analyzing data of two independent experiments and realizing both resulted in the same thing🍷🍷🍷

Today was a #solar day in São Paulo and also marks the 2nd anniversary of Solar Power, the single by Lorde! One of my favorite artists. I like this photo 'cause represents one of the simple things I love doing: hanging out silly in the sun

Ok, well guys I'm a tad late, but exactly one week ago I defended my master thesis at the University of São Paulo (USP). I am so thrilled to finally achieve this in my career! I come from a small town in Brazil where, at first, I did not even know what USP was and now here I am!

I moved to another state, alone, far away from my life amidst a worldwide pandemic. Nevertheless I met incredibly people that helped me pave my out to this very moment. Also left my mark on my boss' office door to maintain the tradition.

Me and qPCR weren't talking that much, but finally we became friends again. Did a couple of runs in the morning and finally some good showed up

Finishing to write my master's thesis and I actually cannot believe it. I started my masters amidst the COVID pandemic and hardly could go to lab to start my experiments which made me feel like I would not accomplish this task.

When COVID got controlled, I could spend some period out in the Netherlands doing part of my masters which was vigorous and made me regain perspective in my project. Went back to Brazil with a result-bloodlust driven vibe and continued my experiments.

Made all the way to here where I finally can tell a story with my results and finally finish my masters chapter. Happy as I ever thought I would be. But you know what? I am even more excited for the next chapter... my PhD!

Apart from the intellectual knowledge you can obtain by becoming an immunologist, the ride by itself it also thrilling. Last week, I met two incredible folks from Uruguay that stayed at our lab. Incredible talk and culture sharing. I love getting to meet new people on the road.
