Enormous @prusament ASA fan cowl for the Tormach's spindle motor - nearly 20 hours of printing. This will allow me to remove the vibration-prone spindle mounted fan. Noctua time baybee! instagram.com/p/Cn4t0EvJFvt/…

Came out great! Love that I can get away with little 12v DC motors at this scale

It appears my mill's Y axis needs a re-ball on the ballnut. 0.0019" of backlash. I am VERY not excited...

The finish work on these parts takes as much time as the machining. But DANG it looks good.

Curious why there aren’t more women in STEM? This is a good example: NetFlix’s “Making Fun” looks remarkably like @KidsInventStuff, but without all that estrogen bogging it down. 🙄

i was the token girl when @netflix said there HAD to be a girl. the show runner pitched this idea and i said “this has been done” specifically because of @KidsInventStuff . he ended up cutting me out of the show. guess THE TOKEN wasn’t that important after all 🤷🏽‍♀️ i could go on&on

With extra Modvises I can run more ops per cycle - that means instead of running op1, then changing over to op2 with my Kurt vise I can get 4 finished parts every cycle. Less opportunity for error! instagram.com/p/CZvhxuuLXQK/…

I will never not be surprised at how fantastic usergroups are for niche stuff like this lathe. The Holbrook group is fantastic - I already have multiple people chiming in with direct knowledge about the weird clutches in my lathe
