Is it just me, or do your skills only start to matter when you already have clients?

No clients because no experience. No experience because no clients. A loop like that is meant to frustrate you. Still here though....

Tech is the only place where you can spend 8 hours fixing a problem, solve it in 10 seconds, and still have no idea how you got there. Then tomorrow, the same problem shows up again and acts like you've never met before.

Everyone in Nigeria is learning to code. But who's learning how to get clients, close deals, build products, or actually make money from it? Maybe the shortage isn't developers. Maybe it's opportunities, business skills, and distribution.....

The best tool I use daily isn't VS Code. It isn't Claude. Most devs haven't even heard of it....
