If you finished a 5K fun run, post it. Post the photo. Post the medal. Post the sweaty selfie. Post the “I survived” caption. People act like 5K is nothing. But for a lot of beginners, the hardest part was waking up early, getting dressed, driving to the start line, standing there nervous, and still going. That counts. Be proud of it

Just finished Cruel Death by M. William Phelps. It’s nonfiction, but almost written like a fictional book. The two are from my area. This was a major story for our small, rural area when it happened.

He is the kind of person who would do anything for anyone, and I truly cannot imagine life without him. Last week, our family received some of the hardest news imaginable: my dad was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer. He is scheduled to undergo surgery this Thursday, and while we are staying hopeful and positive, we know the road ahead will be challenging. Right now, our biggest goal is to make sure he can focus on what matters most…healing and getting better….without the added stress of financial burdens from medical expenses, missed work, and recovery.
