Pleased to announce that SSTL's 40kg HydroGNSS satellite has been selected as the second ESA Scout mission. It will use GNSS Reflectometry to take measurements of soil moisture, permafrost, inundation & wetlands, and above ground biomass. Press Release bit.ly/3m4XI2r

#BornOnThisDay in 1799 German astronomer Friedrich Wilhelm August Argelander was the first astronomer to begin a careful study of variable stars. In 1863, Argelander helped lead in the founding of an international organization of astronomers named the Astronomische Gesellschaft.
