Looking forward to more trail construction in District 9 and the City Council's upcoming review and adoption of our first citywide #TrailsATL Master Plan!
📰 Officials aim to complete the next 1.4 miles connecting to the Silver Comet at the Chattahoochee River by next year’s World Cup, District 9 Councilman Dustin Hillis said.
"This will open up incredible opportunities for recreation, transportation and community building, giving residents and visitors alike more ways to explore a beautiful city," Hillis said.

Much thanks to Riverside Neighborhood Association and Frazie's Meat & Market for providing Thanksgiving Dinner to our hardworking @ATLFireRescue firefighters of Stations 28 & 38.
Rylee sure did enjoy driving E38 & the tiller of T38.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
My hope is that these adopted rec's will be priorities for @ATLDOT and @GDOTATL, & we will be able to see many of the short term rec's implemented by the issuance of the 1st annual report, as we look to reduce fatalities & push toward Vision Zero!

Excited that at today's @atlcouncil meeting, we unanimously passed legislation allocating $6.5M to the first, one-mile phase of the @CityofAtlanta portion of the Chattahoochee RiverLands Trail.
The trail will begin at the Standing Peachtree Greenspace, where 1/
@tpl_org is already working on the northern trailhead and dock for the Chattahoochee Camp Paddle Trail.
It's my and Mayor @andreforatlanta goal to have this trail, along with the Silver Comet Connector/UWCID Woodall Rail Trail, competed by the end of 2025, making it 2/
possible to walk/bike from Downtown (or anywhere on the completed @AtlantaBeltLine) to our City's River (and, technically, all the way to Anniston, AL) by the 2026 World Cup.
I'm looking forward to bringing our City to its River & completing many more multiuse trails in D9! 3/3
