How do you go from opposing government corruption and hating politicians to blindly supporting a candidate no matter what he does or says? The attacks on Rittenhouse lately for endorsing Massie reveal the underpinnings of MAGA as a cult.
Anyone dare step out of the blind allegiance to Trump's agenda, you are excommunicated regardless. MAGA is the new church of misery, cancel culture in reverse, and adamant clinging to coattails. Not healthy for an anti-government movement?
"This memoir is distinctive in its ability to combine personal reflection with much-needed social criticism without feeling invasive or demanding. By restraining his analogies, Sen conveys the idea that human society is indebted to nature and its unique characteristics. A Tree in My Village is highly visual, even including handwritten text and the author’s individually styled sketches in support of its conceptual simplicity. What this unique text ultimately presents is a confession that is both surreal and delightful, marked by introspective humour and vivid description." Dustin Pickering reviews Paritosh Sen's A Tree In My Village for Cha: An Asian Literary Journal.

My friend Dustin Pickering offers a profound meditation in The Path of Meaning — exploring illusion, truth, and the fragile balance between inquiry and acceptance. A thoughtful read on how to live wisely in a post-truth age. fairobserver.com/culture/the…
Household matters invariably make their way into Sengupta’s writing, infusing his ruminating tone with the microcosmic chaos of the macrocosmic world. — World Literature Today @worldlittoday
An incisive review of my Selected Poems is here:

There is a sense of flow in the poems despite his stylistic terseness. Water permeates his poetry. The poet believes: “…water is achromatic and otherwise called life.” As the poet is a deep observer of nature and its surroundings, he observes that water carries out its own duty: “Water has no call, no décor either; it floats the bone and/ the ash free.” In ‘Evening in Varanasi’, the poet assigns the water of the Ganges exceptional qualities: “The water here is not/a fire extinguisher. /Flames rise through the water.” He connects the water to the Sun: “O Sun, I remember/I’ve bathed your feet/with the water of the Ganges”. ‘River of Tears and Mother’ airs the deep concern about the recalcitrance of those who ignore ecological issues: “Ganga has her stories to tell;/wish she had someone to listen to her.” — The September '25 edition of the Borderless Journal features a scintillating review of my Selected Poems (Transcendent Zero Press August 2025).

"I carefully selected poems not as a “best of” compilation but as one that reflects these qualities of Sengupta as a poet evolving with and within our times. In one critical essay, I suggested Sengupta is a democratic voice who embraces the right to challenge consensus. Over the nearly decade I have known Kiriti Sengupta as a poet, I have served as editor, critic, and sounding board for his poetry. His poetry is contemporary, metamodern, and flows with the river of time," notes Dustin Pickering as he prepares to release my Selected Poems from Transcendent Zero Press in August 2025.
On this auspicious day of Guru Purnima, we reveal the cover designed by Bitan Chakraborty.
