Can someone explain the ECB's strategy of taking a player, who desperately needs time in the middle, out of a game because he may or may not replace another player in the England squad despite England having already named a different player in that squad to do exactly that?

🇳🇱 Update: Isabel van der Woning bowled at full tilt in the training today and yesterday (at Moseley CC). Looked in good spirits at the team media day in Nottingham on Wednesday.

There are female cricketers in the UK who complain that they should be paid as much as the men. Remember Nat Sciver-Brunt is the 2nd highest paid sportswoman in the UK. Instead ladies, maybe look at what the Dutch players get and be thankful for your £100k contracts.

The England Lions continue their seriously dismal form. This time, failing to bat their 50 overs again and then South Africa chasing the 199 down in 30.3 overs without losing a wicket. A 10 wicket battering.

The EUT20 in Hofstade, Belgium has a pretty decent participation of top international players but it's a bit strange that there are no players from just north of the border. (Yes I know the NL national team are in Canada).

England Lions proving to be no better at white ball cricket than red ball. They only batted 26 overs to get 119. SA chased down target with 1 wicket down in 19.3 overs. That's a drubbing.
