After 5.5/6 years of just straight oilfield…. These are my last 2 weeks of “working on the rigs”. Being out in the fields has taught me so much and taken me places I’d never imagine. Time to do something new and actually have time for myself outside of work.

I see so many people (men specifically) saying how “well why is she now complaining” “now all these girls are speaking up but why didn’t they scream for help at the start?”… this is quite literally how it goes when you’re being groomed and/or manipulated into a sexual relationship.
women are told by society that their opinions don’t matter, that they’re overreacting, dramatic, emotional, “asking for it,” or somehow responsible for the actions of grown men. grooming doesn’t usually look violent at first, that’s the entire point. it’s manipulation, power, normalization, fear, confusion, guilt, and someone slowly convincing you that what’s happening is “normal” or that nobody will believe you anyway.
and when these girls finally do speak up, suddenly everyone wants to dissect every single reaction they had instead of questioning the grown adult (30 yrs old btw) who put them in that position to begin with LMFAOOO. trauma does not make people react perfectly. not everyone screams, fights, reports it immediately, or even fully understands what happened to them until years later.
any of you who are defending a very clear weirdo who is very obvious off his rocker need therapy. & I pray you never have daughters.
