A spontaneous E2V1 football meetup using the new RT8 Beach Ball system turned into 30 players gathering, playing, testing, and laughing together. It was still early, with some ping and physics issues, but that was part of the point. The exciting part was seeing the community create its own gameplay inside Earth2. For us, the main value is simply being able to gather in the same space, hang out, and enjoy the experience together. We are not just waiting anymore. It appears that users who own 15,000 tiles are now able to download E2V1. For those who have been waiting to try E2V1, please check whether the download is available through your launcher. Please keep in mind that E2V1 is still in Pre-Alpha, so bugs and some inconveniences may occur. If this is your first time entering E2V1, I recommend starting slowly with the basic features first, such as Flying Mode, Character creation, saving, movement, Foraging, and Quests.
