Not being entirely surprised by this doesn’t mean we should be apathetic or normalize this. Like my nerves can’t handle an insurrection and attempt to overturn and overthrow the government every four years.

For unexplained reasons, the White House did not lower flags to half-staff today in honor of the Capitol Police officer, Brian Sicknick, who died last night from injuries he sustained while on duty responding to the pro-Trump mob. The Capitol did lower flags today.

Not serving any consequence or repercussions for inciting a freaking insurrection bc you’re *almost* out of time is setting a precedent that as long as you storm the govt within two weeks of a terms end you good. Nah. &Pundits, stop suggesting he just go golf on taxpayers’a dime.

The insanity of “I’ve heard allegations of widespread voter fraud” is actually code for Ive been saying there was fraud for two months on every platform I had (but actually the entire campaign cycle watering the seeds planted in 2016 that would grow into full blown sedition).

It’s like if I went around for months screaming that the sky is falling, and then called into my fav news organization and tweeted constantly that I’ve heard wide spread allegations that the sky is falling.

Then some of my people start panic screaming the sky is falling without looking up to see if it actually is. Then a couple myopic, self serving, power hungry congresspeople delay democracy in attempted coup to form a committee to investigate the allegations of the falling sky.
