Agreed it's because modern writers think that athe only way a man can be good is by being spineless or harmless, the reality is most people especially women don't respect men like that, yet all these modern writers continue to write heroes that way

I ABHOR modern interpretations of Superman that make him a naive goofball soft boy, as if the only way a man can be GOOD is if he is HARMLESS.
Superman should be kind-hearted and gentle, of course, but he should exude a confidence and gravitas that commands respect from others.
