Moderate to locally heavy lake effect snow will continue through Tuesday across the western Southern Tier with significant additional accumulations. Bands of light to moderate snow will also continue southeast of Lake Ontario.

Latest from the @NWSBUFFALO: southern Erie County can expect another 8-12 inches of snow by 7 PM Monday. Parts of Chautauqua County could get another 24-30 inches of snow through Tuesday. Yikes!

3 - 4 feet of lake effect snow has already been observed. 1 - 2 feet of additional snowfall is expected east of Lake Ontario, while nearly 3 feet of additional snowfall is expected east of Lake Erie (Chautauqua).

Crews have been working overnight and into the morning hours, continuing cleanup efforts in South Buffalo. We are aware that some pockets of neighborhoods still need attention, and our DPW crews will be working throughout the day to get those areas cleared. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
