When the guy who used to run U.S. bank regulation starts a network, pay attention to the rails he chooses.
Eugene Ludwig was the 27th U.S. Comptroller of the Currency. He ran the agency that charters and supervises national banks.
Now he founded Cari Network. It’s currently onboarding with production rollout planned for later in 2026. Five U.S. regional banks. $600B in combined deposits.
Regional banks don’t chase narratives. They chase regulatory clarity and operational safety. They’re the ones who have to explain every new rail to the OCC, FDIC, and their own boards. If five of them commit pre production, their risk teams already did the homework.
That’s the signal. In settlement, trust isn’t marketing. It’s time. Years of audits, attestations, and “does this break any rule we haven’t thought of yet.”
Cari picking
@zksync means the compliance surface passed that test. Same reason Deutsche Bank’s DAMA 2.0 is in production on
$ZK infrastructure. Same reason a central bank, BlackRock, Mastercard, and Franklin Templeton are all live on ADI Chain.
You don’t get a sovereign, a top 3 asset manager, and a global payments network on one chain unless the answers to “who sees what” and “who controls execution” are solved at the protocol level.
@zksync runs the full stack: Airbender proving system, on eth proofs. ZK Stack platform. Prividium as the institutional surface. One team, one security model, one audit trail. In regulated finance, “we partnered for privacy” is a red flag. We built it end to end is what gets signed.
BitGo’s custody integration with Prividium closes the loop. Asset managers don’t move without qualified custody. Now it’s there.
The 2026 lead matters because settlement infrastructure calcifies. SWIFT went from 239 banks to 11,000 because leaving meant coordinating with 11,000 counterparties.
$ZK is the governance token and only native asset of the ZKsync network, native gas token for ZKsync Gateway. But the moat isn’t the token. It’s that the hardest customers central banks, tier one banks, regional banks with a former Comptroller are already here, now.
The next 12 months decide the next 12 years. That’s not a slogan. It’s how financial infrastructure has worked for 50 years.
