Another milestone in the collaboration between the @Uni_Rwanda and leading international institutions on impactful health research such as Institut Pasteur and @IVIHeadquarters. Today marks the kick-off of the Accelerating Clinical Trial for CHIKungunya vaccine in Africa (ACT-CHIK) Consortium, a 4-year EU-funded (€15.3M) clinical trial project on Chikungunya vaccines, bringing together partners from Rwanda, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, Brazil, South Korea, and France. The project aims to strengthen Africa’s clinical trial capacity, advance vaccine research, and explore pathways for local vaccine manufacturing on the continent. Proud to see Rwanda hosting the consortium’s launch and contributing to this important global health initiative. #ACTCHIK #ClinicalTrials #Chikungunya #GlobalHealth #UniversityOfRwanda #EU #EDCTP
