Marissa's story is a powerful reminder of how collective strength in organising #DomesticWorkers can transform lives.
After escaping an abusive employer, she turned to @unitetheunion, asking, "Can a union help me?"
Now, Unite created an entire branch for domestic workers, giving them a voice and collective power. What a win!
#EFFAT congratulates this incredible achievement!

“I was walking with no direction, traumatised and I found myself there, I looked up at Unite and thought, ‘Can a union help me?’”
After escaping an abusive employer, Marissa set up @thevoiceofdws, a support network and campaign organisation to support domestic workers across the UK.
Now, in a historic move, they have formed a Domestic Workers Branch in our union 👏
