We were supposed to have been in the midst of EI 2020 today. I miss the embodied life of academia, sharing ideas & disagreements & laughter & wine. I mourn everything we have lost, and will lose. But if it is at all humanly possible, and ethical, we WILL see you for EI 2021. ❤️

The Board of Trustees has decided to postpone the 2020 meeting of The English Institute until 2021. It was an obvious choice, but another loss amidst so much loss. On the upside, we will be able to celebrate our 80th anniversary among the Jacarandas and taco trucks of Irvine!
