I used to think living in a neighborhood where everyone is financially comfortable would bring peace, unity, and mutual respect. But my experience has been the complete opposite.
People barely greet each other, some go out of their way to show off unnecessarily, and there’s always this strange atmosphere of competition.
Sometimes I wonder, are they trying to prove who’s bigger in the compound? We all pay the same rent, most of us drive cars, and we’re all living under the same roof. So why does it feel like some people are constantly trying to remind others that they’re richer?
Maybe money can buy comfort, but it clearly doesn’t buy humility, respect, or good character.
