▪️The Oklahoma Public Health Lab is having to outsource tests as they don’t have the capability anymore to do them. ▪️Oklahoma sends tests to #Minnesota, #Nebraska, #Kansas ▪️This is fallout from the terrible decision to move this lab to Payne County 4 years ago with no input from #okleg ▪️This lab has been under federal investigation twice with major deficiencies noted. Newborn testing was botched. ▪️We invested $30 million into a new lab but forgot to build a vented room for lab workers to safely do BSL3 testing. ▪️This new lab is less functional and can do fewer types of tests than the old outdated lab in OKC.
