A plan to protect our coastal communities, the Coastal Protection Act, received all-party support years ago.
But instead of taking action, Tim Houston and his ministers broke their promise to Nova Scotians. They abandoned this crucial plan. Now, our beautiful coastlines are at risk.
We canβt let a small circle of wealthy developers control the fate of our shores. A New Democrat government will pass the Act, establish coastal protection zones & safeguard our communities from climate change.

A re-elected PC government will hire a 30-nurse travel team to replace costly private contracts and deliver more consistent care for Nova Scotians in every corner of the province.
This announcement, paired with our record on creating more nursing seats, funding free tuition for CCAs and LPNs, and offering all graduating nurses a job, the PC team is the only party who's demonstrated we will Make It Happen for Healthcare workers.

A group of people decided it would be a great idea to dress as members of the KKK for Halloween and attend an event at the North Sidney Fire Fighters Club in Sidney, Nova Scotia. They were even allowed to bring a cross inside with them. NSFFC has since released a minimal apology.
