After five long years away from @waltdisneyworld, I was welcomed back with a bang. Lugging around a tripod really paid off for this long exposure.
Here’s the first of the full frame camera shots I got on this trip.
I should probably make a Flickr for all these, right?
IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth lives on at the 2000’s-themed Disneyland Pass Party at Disneyland Paris! It’s great to hear this music in a Disney park again. 🙌
Rivers of America, gone. Red Cars, gone. Muppets, probably gone. The Acolyte, gone.
What a creatively bankrupt company.
What a risk-adverse company.
What a shame.

Walking into Batuu for the first time was the closest I’ve felt to the feeling when I walked into Disneyland for the first time after a lifetime of WDW visits. Didn’t expect to ever get that feeling again, at least in US parks.

Right outside the Droid Depot as BSO begins to present itself. Where the facades feel familiar to you, even though you’ve never technically seen them. Where you feel you’ve stepped into a movie.
The feeling is being pulled to explore and discover a place that you subconsciously know. You’ve seen an establishing shot of Droid Depot countless times in Tatooine. But now? You’re there. And you get to move though the movie.
Pure magic.
I got goosebumpy/teary.
