A catcher hitting 60 home runs is an amazing narrative. But hereโs another:
In July, it looked like Aaron Judge might need surgery. The Yankees were preparing to sell off players in a worst case scenario, according to @martinonyc. Bellinger, Grisham, Williams all couldโve been gone. They wouldnโt have added Bednar, McMahon, etc. Judge is so valuable that the Yankees considered raising the white flag on their season if he couldnโt play.
Now they prepare for Game 162 with a chance to win the division.

The AL MVP race is going to be awesome coming down to the last few weeks. Cal Raleigh (6.0 WAR as a S/H catcher; leading league w/ 54 HR, 115 RBI) and Aaron Judge (8.1 WAR, leading league in Runs, BB, Avg, OBP, Slg, OPS) are both worthy! Love them both, amazing for baseball!!
