Using observed data & simulations, @ESchnellinger @DrSteShi et al. found that a modified lung allocation score (mLAS) yields key differences in allocation & possibly modest improvement in waitlist survival, without compromising post-transplant survival. 🔗:bit.ly/3A4H0Z2

Five quick #rstats tips I've picked up in the plots I've made for the first category of the #30DayChartChallenge 🧵👇 1. Need to plot a million points and ggplot() is taking too long but you want to stay within the tidyverse? 👉 Use 📦{scattermore} with geom_scattermore() 🥳

Conclusion: Neither approach was always optimal. However, if interest lies in detecting changes in overall outcome incidence (intercept), Calibration regression may be superior. If interest lies in detecting changes in other covariates (slope), Direct Approach may be superior.
