You should be above your politics, otherwise your politics will make you into a monster, tame the monster, tame yourself.
To continue, I beleive what your species needs is quite simply, a universal, common interest, goal, and/or enemy. As for us Soljits, our interest was Sovereignty and security, and the Imperial goal was to humiliate our common enemy, the Cernines.

This guy has been a pain for a friend of mine in multiple situations but this one really pissed me off, he scammed my friend out of payment for his art.
He's tried to rig a twitter action, tried to get out of paying multiple ychs and DID get out of paying this one.
