استقبلنا سفير الاتحاد الأوروبي لدى العراق السيد كليمنس سمتنر، الذي سلمنا رسالة من دول الاتحاد، تعبر عن دعمها ومساندتها للحكومة الجديدة، والعمل معها في مختلف المجالات. وجرى بحث آفاق علاقات التعاون بين العراق ودول الاتحاد الأوروبي، وسبل تعزيزها ضمن الاتفاقيات ومذكرات التفاهم الثنائية، والرؤية المستقبلية بما يعزز المصالح والمنفعة المتبادلة. كما شهد اللقاء مناقشة القضايا والملفات الإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك، والتأكيد على أهمية تكثيف العمل المشترك لتحقيق الاستقرار والتنمية، وحفظ الأمن الاقليمي والدولي.
