The Debrecen District Prosecutor’s Office took into account our recommendations & filed charges against a forest owner, the later mayor & the entrepreneur, who in 2018 tried to obtain HUF 64M EU and domestic rural development support unduly for a forest site incl. a canopy trail

At OLAF, protecting EU consumers is at the heart of what we do, and that includes what's in your kitchen. Olive oil fraud is more common than you would think. Agreements like this one help keep your bottle authentic. 🫒
If olives are fruit, is olive oil fruit juice?
In May, Parliament approved changes to Article 36 of the 2015 International Agreement on Olive Oil and Table Olives.
The agreement can be extended in 5-year periods, helping protect trade, quality standards and consumer rights.
