I’ve been looking forward to this moment for many years.

The haters would be even more vocal if Tesla didn't have the safety monitors and something went wrong because of it. Who cares what they say. At the end of the day Tesla is taking a big step forward tomorrow, and if things go well, I suspect it will expand rapidly. As long as the cars are truly driving themselves, the app works well, is easy to use and the whole experience is smooth, that's what matters. 5-10 years from now when there are millions of Tesla Robotaxis on the road no one will care that there were safety monitors and a geofenced area at the very beginning. The fact remains, Tesla still has the best path to scale and profitability with full autonomy.
