Saint Domnius was a Christian bishop martyred during the persecutions of Emperor Diocletian, a Roman ruler who tried to eradicate Christianity throughout the empire.
Today, the cathedral dedicated to St. Domnius stands right on top of Diocletian’s own final resting place after the fall of the Roman Empire.
This serves as a reminder that earthly kingdoms fade, but Christ the King, who St. Domnius served, reigns forever!
