The program leverages advanced digital tools and strategic educational frameworks to provide 1 million youth aged 15 to 35 across Africa and the Middle East critical skills training in artificial intelligence, coding, data analysis, digital marketing, and modern pedagogies.
London, UK. January 22, 2025. EDT&Partners and EYouth proudly announced their partnership at Bett 2025, the world's premier event for education technology. This ambitious initiative underscores the power of technology and collaboration in shaping the future of education and employment. The program, based in EYouth's market leader upskilling platform in MENA and EDT's educational frameworks, technology and expertise aims to achieve education impact at scale.
The Digital Skills Program will be open to youth (ages 15 to 35) starting this February and will be subsidized for qualifying educators across the middle east.
There is $2.5 trillion USD at stake globally due to the current skills gap. In the MENA region, this challenge is accentuated with only 1.7% of the workforce considered "digital talent". Additionally, the world needs an additional 44 million teachers by 2030, and 4.3 million alone in Northern Africa and Western Asia.
EYouth and EDT&Partners are committing $6M USD into this ambitious program and combining their effective upskilling platform and their latest innovation in Al for education respectively, in order to help close the digital skills gap in the MENA region, opening the program to all youth, with a special emphasis on educators. "Education has a compounding effect in our societies and economies.
The digital skills gap and Al literacy for educators are two of the most important ingredients to enhance the competitiveness of the MENA region. We are proud and excited to partner with EYouth in this ambitious and large scale initiative," said Pablo Langa, Founder and Managing Partner at EDT&Partners.
"To date we have upskilled more than 3M youth and through this partnership we aim to accelerate and empower 1 more million of young minds to unlock their potential and drive innovation across Africa and the Middle East.", said Mustafa Abd Ellatif, Co-Founder and CEO of EYouth. These participants can access the digital skills program via a cutting-edge learning website, offering interactive and comprehensive training.
