Now is the time to get into the undergrowth and root out the litter hiding away, in the spring summer this will be 4 ft high brambles. Grim hard work , but with maximum results
This story is wild and could have huge ramifications for the flat sale market.
It is pretty incredible questions were not raised earlier about the company TriFire which appears to have signed crucial fire safety forms on hundreds of blocks

It’s unfair for deep-pocketed freeholders to use the courts to block much needed reform. The law was passed to protect homeowners from exploitation & these legal challenges only prolong the injustice. @UKLabour your partiality is showing.
💥BIG FREEHOLDERS USE JUDICIAL ACTIVISM TO KILL LEASEHOLD REFORM💥
We’ve been in the High Court this week.
Deep-pocketed vested interests are now using the judiciary to overturn a law passed by a democratically elected government and supported by opposition parties.
Wrong!
HORRIFIC sight. This quango is NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.

What a bunch of excuse-making failures they are.

. @campbellclaret I have to say I’m staggered by the number of people im meeting who aren’t voting next week. I don’t get it. Unfortunately I know quite a few are away and left it too late to postal vote (as they didn’t fully understand the process) but still many aren’t voting because they are tired of political incompetence. I really think we need to bring in compulsory voting and make voting ALOT easier!
Just look at how the rate of increase in life expectancy has been dropping in this country. And it’s not just since COVID/2020. The decline seemed to start around 2010… weird, that.
The government has shelved its Renters (Reform) Bill, which aimed to ban "no-fault" Section 21 evictions, after pressure from some landlord Tory MPs.
Jacob Rees-Mogg criticised the bill and lobbied against it, claiming it would drive landlords away from the profession and worsen renters' conditions.
Coincidentally Rees-Mogg is himself a landlord, receiving rental income from a residential property in London as well as from farm buildings and land in Somerset.

The right-wing faces total elimination of power over UK destiny.
I really hope so.
If it IS the case, here is my theory of what went wrong for them: they got high on their own supply - they started believing their own "free market", "trickledown economics" schtick.

Thank you @EalingCouncil for making the right decision to cancel hosting the Iranian Presidential polling station. These elections are a scam, no change will come while the fascist regime still controls the system. We shouldn’t help cover up murder and dictatorship.

❗ It’s 2024, and we’re facing historic food bank need.
3.1 MILLION emergency food parcels were provided by our network last year.
👉 This isn’t right. We need urgent action to tackle hunger and hardship in the UK. But where’s the plan?
If you need to escape the heat in London this week, there are cool spaces around the city for you to take a break and cool down 🍃
You can find them on our Cool Spaces map here:
I can’t even begin to describe what an indictment of the BBC & possibly of the studio audience & also of our civilisation itself it is that this final Prime Ministerial debate, at a moment when the world is reeling from extreme heat 🥵, has seen NO questions on climate & nature.
