"The Fat Wizzard and his Awesome Wand" finally got its first public release! earendelps.itch.io/the-fat-w… I got some stuff to deal with IRL so I had to delay it a bit. Now that code is nearly finish I can prioritize working on sprite and polishsment. #gamedev #GodotEngine #solodev #pixelart

NPCs implemented, deterministic collision check improved. I'm making some really good progress with this project #gamedev #solodev #indiedev

No collision shapes or arrays used for decting walkable tiles. Only tile data is being use to check if a tile is walkable. Also you may randomly enconter Ricky! #gamedev #solodev #indiedev

Update on my last post: still working on the battle system for my project. Still on final stages of prototyping. You can select different types of action and the enemies also have multiple action options #gamedev #indiedev

I'm getting sick yet again and struggling to study. Here's a cool piece of art from my last project #pixeart #gamedev

Working on animations for the main character for my game (Pulsar) This was quite hard, it took me nearly 2 hours just to get this version #pixelart #gamedev

Working on level transition, fading effect, and a simple HUD. I'm even coming out with a simple plot and character design. #gamedev #indiedev #GodotEngine

Polishing existing systems and adding more content... maybe it's time to invest on visuals #gamedev #indiedev

still taking some baby steps.... ssince apparently I got another cold (cold weather really mess up with my immunity). Lot's of decisions make, lot's of architectural reflection and decision on code... some new behaviors added to enemies. I thought about using this prototype as a base to revive one of my prototypes, looking back then I had a huge script filled with booleans all possible enemy behavior jumbled on the enemy script, still I think it might be too early to getting back to that project. #gamedev #indiedev

I still need some rest but I want to stay productive. Small feature added where now enemies may have a hitbox. I'm aiming on making a simple platformer. My last attempt was simply too big for my skills at the time, previous project turned out to be too big right now. This one should be simple enough. #indiedev #gamedev

Can't say I'm back to full productivity, but I'm still learning new stuff. I better understand how to organize my code and how to use things like finite state machine (the biggest lession being: I don't need FSMs for now). #godot #gamedev

I'm slowly being able to resume my studies on game development having some fun working on sprites for a new prototype and trying to learn how to implement a Finite State Machine properly. I learned a lot but it turned out I don't really need it for this prototype. Still, It's being a good experience so far. Honestly I'm not very happy with how things are going on: the last game I worked on (the fat wizzard) is still lacking a lot of content and I had to drop 2 other prototypes because of IRL problems, but it's good to at least being able to sit and write some code #gamedev #godot

I got sick again last again last week and I had to deal with a lot of things. It's being hard even to open Godot and start working on something. I'm not happy with how my posting frequency is dropping (how I'm going to build a brand like that?). The good newsss though is that I might get a new job soon so at least if things don't go as expected I will have a job with a decent salary... #gamedev

The last few days are being a nightmare. There's a lot of stuff going on that are keeping me to keep focusing on my programming studies... I'm trying to work on something simpler than the roguelike I was planning to do. But the good new is: I can reutilize my collision system on this new project. But honestly, I feel like I should Instead finish my previous game (all it needs is some bugfixes, new levels and art, but specially the art is really time consuming and I'm not a great pixel artist AND I prioritize code over art) #gamedev #indiedev

Progress might seem minor but I did massive progress with the hit detection system. It should be flexible enough for this new project (and In case you're curious, this one iss going to be a roguelite) #gamedev #indiedev #solodev
