Found an old ass sketchbook probably 2015 with extremely rough attempts at drawing some mecha.
While I had eventually improved with gesture drawing (never got good, just better), mechanical still felt impossible. Would like to learn how to soon though.

I think the onus is on creators to justify their experimentation, CONVINCE us its kino. But with that said the 90's katoki era (victory, x, wing) to me became very monotonous with their gundam designs. Experimentation brings in fresh air. But still it IS a balance, ugly is ugly.
