Trading should be EQUAL value unless it’s like 60 $2 cards for 1 $120 card. This 50-80% on trade is absolutely bull shit. When I was growing up? “Oh you want that card? I want this one! Thanks for the trade!” None of this “I only trade in my favor” bull shit.
Signs we’ve lost the plot in the hobby:
> Someone pulls chase card, posts for sale next day or immediately, but only because they’re behind on bills in the first place
> Waffle for ancillary products that couldn’t move otherwise
> Complaining about how waiting for restocks is a waste of time, while in line for said restock
> Charging $5-$7 for shipping on a $$250 card
> Selling a slab with a graded guard or something similar and not including that in the sale (just take it off before posting?)
> Complaining about not hitting restocks, then doing so, THEN pulling a card that’s not a chase and being upset about it not being a chase (just be thankful you ripped something!?)
> Buying only what you see on the timeline getting hyped, like, there’s plenty more out there to discover
> Expecting to hit online Walmart or Target drops (not happening, worth your time to do something else)
> Watching prices everyday like it stocks (important to be aware of but it’s not that deep)
> Not following TeamPokeColors on all platforms (I mean that’s a given!)
That’s my list, what else needs added?
