As predicted here: Drain The Clock wrestled the OBS GOAT title away from Tiz The Law & we saw a repeat of that today with Kennyten making easy work of 1-5 favorite Nayar.
Kennyten did not even run that fast at OBS, but he had exquisite harmony with Macleans Music (Distorted Humor x Unbridled Song) over Goldenscents (Into Mischief) - like a reverse Citizen Bull or Canaletto.
@Justify3107 & I have long been preaching that Macleans Music was made for Into Mischief and that was on full display today. Harmony = The Key to Class
These Tiz The Laws are very precocious and love synthetic but just do not make good Derby horses like we saw with Preside who was a 1.5 million OBS sales topper and only 6th in debut. Be wary with these genetics, they are very deceptive.
It was also no surprise that Flightline’s Greenwall lost today given War Front is his broodmare sire. War Front is very likely the worst pound for pound broodmare sire in this game; his daughters produce good looking precocious horses but they simply have no class to carry their speed.
@Justify3107 & I avoid War Front broodmare sires like the plague and have learned that lesson the hard way.
Breeding and understanding bloodlines is so important, it takes a lifetime to master & is forever evolving. Early Voting and Drain The Clock are FOR REAL….but like every sire, they need the right kind of help and also some luck.
Holy Moly!!!! 😱 😱 😱 😱
This Drain The Clock colt just tied the 20.1 track record & didnt even switch leads! 🤯 I haven’t seen a colt do that since Crude Velocity, who is set to debut later today.
Drain The Clock is low key the new GOAT of OBS, wrestled the title away from Tiz The Law 👑 Incredible what they are doing.
