A public option: - is still insurance-based - costs more than our current system - leaves millions without coverage - leaves healthcare unaffordable for most Medicare for All: - covers everyone - saves families money - creates jobs - expands coverage - cuts spending - eliminates copays, premiums and deductibles. Anything short of universal healthcare with Medicare for All is fiscally and morally irresponsible.
Introducing the American Health Gateway. An idea to transform America's health care system by establishing a non-profit, competitive public option for health insurance. Real competition with private insurers. Lower costs and better care.

Reminder: Planned Parenthood, like Becerra, does *NOT* support #SinglePayer healthcare in CA, even though it would be the most comprehensive system to GUARANTEE full reproductive rights & healthcare for every woman & child (not just "access" & piecemeal "safety nets"). #CalCare
Planned Parenthood California CEO @jodihicks knows that I will be a Governor who will fight for and protect reproductive rights. I will make sure that everyone has a safety net and has access to the care they need.

New poll: health care costs are Americans' biggest financial fear. Bigger than rent. Bigger than groceries. And, according to the WA Post, Family coverage now costs $27,000 a year. $27,00 a year!!

This absolute gall of @GavinNewsom to pull this deceptive shit, again. 🤬 These were Gavin's #SinglePayer tweets when he was running for Governor in 2017...then he spent his entire time in office covertly sabotaging #CalCare while being elusive & dishonest about it. #GavinLies
Single-payer is inevitable in this country! The healthcare system is devouring the public sector and private sector budgets. UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE!

Gavin Newsom ran on single-payer when he first ran for governor in 2018. He had 8 years to follow through on his promise and yet, time and time again, he did everything in his power to stop it.

And there it is...the proof that @XavierBecerra was lying to voters when he said he supported #SinglePayer healthcare. Even if single-payer is not your issue, trustworthiness should be...and Becerra has shown he is not to be trusted. Vote @TomSteyer.
Even more proof that @XavierBecerra intends to covertly sabotage #SinglePayer in CA if elected, just like Newsom. The CMA would not endorse a candidate serious about #CalCare because they have opposed it every time. They prefer "market-driven" healthcare. 🙄 Vote @TomSteyer.

Replying to @TomSteyer
Becerra is lying to our faces on #SinglePayer. What else is he lying to voters about?🤔

Single-payer would streamline all of this while eliminating networks, deductibles, co-pays, premiums, & surprise bills. Better healthCARE w a cost-savings should be a no-brainer, but health corps & execs making $$ off our suffering won't let the politicians they've bought do it.
A full 25% of American healthcare spending goes to things like billing, claims processing, and customer service.

Rep. John Larson takes a stand for Medicare for All in committee hearing. Begins at 1:44:35 and ends at 1:50:45. We must insist that all of Congress become bold and vocal in the fight for Improved Medicare for All, free from profit. #M4A #singlepayer waysandmeans.house.gov/event…

You guys just killed CalCare — something that would made life way more affordable in California.
As Trump and Republicans raise costs across the board, California Democrats are committed to making life affordable and ensuring opportunity is within reach for everyone, not just the wealthy and well-connected.

Yes, he did! 💯⚕️🏥 Fund Healthcare for all by closing the Prop13 corporate loophole! Healthcare is a human right 🌹
Not watching, but did Steyer propose paying for #Calcare's initial transition costs w state revenue recouped from a successful #ReformProp13 initiative?? That could convince ppl to finally vote for closing that damned loophole that has screwed public services in CA for decades.

I really wish we would have seen this fire for #CalCare from Tony during his time as State Supt. He could have been using that position of influence to highlight the benefits #SinglePayer policy would have on student achievement, district budgets, and ed workers. @Ed4SinglePayer
Healthcare is a human right. California deserves a governor who will fight for it.

A 2021 study concluded that switching to single payer health care would save $450 billion dollars annually. Why are we unnecessarily spending $450 billion every year? #MedicareForAll Read the study: thelancet.com/journals/lance…

Woah. Was not expecting to see single-payer health care in this video. Very glad to see Tom connecting the dots: Hollywood needs CalCare to survive. Hopefully our work had something to do with this.
I have a plan to bring production back to Los Angeles and make life more affordable, because a thriving entertainment industry will not survive if Californians cannot afford to live here.

CA nurses are endorsing @TomSteyer for Governor — and here's why: He's the only candidate with us 100% on single-payer. We are furious that #CalCare failed this week. Our patients can't wait. It's past time California had a governor who supports health care for all Californians.

House cleaning time. Corporate dems need to go. California's universal healthcare killed even though Democrats have a supermajority. Politicians serve their corporate donors not the people.
