Teachers earned 73 cents for every dollar that other professionals made in 2022. This is far less than the 93 cents on the dollar they made in 1996. Once again: Is there a “teacher shortage,” or a shortage of jobs that treat educators with the dignity and pay they deserve?

Radar update 10:28 pm, our storms are developing wayyy off to our west. Still lots of time for them to strengthen or weaken before they get to us. Have ways to get warnings overnight before you go to bed.

Happy 90th to the legendary Willie Nelson. This photo is one of my all time faves. Willie leaving the recording studio- I have no idea why I followed him out that day. I stopped at the door as he smiled gently at me. I managed to snap a frame as he passed by on his way to his bus

Another legend gone. Lots of great memories of working with Gary Rossington, lead guitarist for Lynyrd Skynyrd. I made this portrait of him while working on a new record at Oceanway Studios in Nashville. #GaryRossington #lynyrdskynyrd

The passing of Michael Rhodes has left me with such a heavy heart. A true musician’s musician. A genius bass player Michael was considered one of Nashville’s top session musicians for decades, and a good friend by many like me. #michaelrhodes

"Doc" Watson was an American guitarist, songwriter, and singer of bluegrass, folk, country, blues, and gospel music. Watson's fingerstyle and flatpicking skills, were highly regarded. I shot this photo of Doc waiting to go on at the Ryman Auditorium. #docwatson

Corporate greed is Southwest getting a $7 billion bailout during the pandemic & spending $5.6 billion on stock buybacks to enrich wealthy shareholders, while stranded passengers are threatened with jail time for the crime of trying to rebook canceled flights during the holidays.
