We have learnt how to harness the power of the sun for the peoples' energy on this planet, however, we must learn to harness the energy of the people for the power to save the planet.

The Capitol Police are arresting US military veterans for protesting war and genocide. That’s how sick our society is. Protesting war and genocide lands you in jail while supporting war and funding genocide gets you a job in Congress and the White House.

Fun fact: People have downloaded 93,256,100 terabytes, or 93,256 petabytes (PB) worth of war crimes footage from our proton drive links alone. This does not including torrents. A lot of people are seeing what Israel did. Thanks to @ProtonDrive for allowing this.

Canada and Australia have never waited for others to write our futures. We have written it ourselves through a century of choices, standing together in the darkest hours, building with optimism and purpose, and now helping to create what comes next. An honour to have addressed Australia’s Parliament.

Musk, worth $829 billion, owns X. Bezos, worth $234 billion, owns The Washington Post & Twitch. Zuckerberg, worth $231 billion, owns Facebook, Instagram & WhatsApp. And now Larry Ellison, worth $202 billion, is about to control CNN, CBS, TikTok & HBO. Yes, this is oligarchy.

I’m in the middle of writing a book called The Power of Us, and I keep circling back to The Long and Winding Road. The road doesn’t straighten just because the destination matters, and understanding the problem doesn’t magically shorten the walk. share.google/CFRLNgUtc6CHlP5…

As Herzog comes through immigration he’s asked “occupation”? And he replies “no, just visiting”!

In an age of fractured realities, even suggesting that humans might once again share a common understanding of the world can seem delusional.

There is no path for the Liberal Party back to government without being a party of net-zero.

A reason for not getting Jim's products.
A recent release from Bill Gates makes the case for putting human welfare first, above net zero. Money can be spent far more effectively helping poorer people, rather than focusing only on emissions. We used to have the cheapest power in the OECD. Now we are among the dearest. We’re spending double what we used to, and double the costs of countries like the U.S. and Canada. All up, the rage for net zero is likely costing the typical family $1,000 more per year in power bills. A reasonable estimate is that achieving it over the next ten years would cost $500 billion, or $5,000 per household per year. While making a trivial difference to world climate. As Gates points out, net zero will come as the technology improves. We don’t need to impoverish ourselves, nor hold back people in the Third World who need cheap power to progress.

This person is a coward. Turns off comments. What is she scared of? The truth?
This Prime Minister is lying. Australians now know there is nothing cheap about Labor’s ideologically driven, renewables-only energy madness. Labor’s net zero laws and policies are causing enormous economic and environmental harm. That’s why the Liberals have dumped net zero.

Dan Tehan is so lucky to have a very safe country Victorian seat. Anywhere else he would have been long gone, begging Gina Reinhardt for a job as her dishwasher.
Dan Tehan roasted on #abc730 after refusing to accept that by remaining committed to Paris, Libs are therefore bound by Australia’s 2030 & 2035 targets. Bcoz these are already in the Paris agreement which doesn’t allow govts to backslide. He’s either lying or an absolute idiot.
