Regardless of Rick Jackson winning the Republican primary for governor, the result that concerns me most is Tim Fleming winning the Republican primary for Secretary of State.
The governor’s office matters, but the Secretary of State’s office will oversee Georgia’s elections for the next four years.
Fleming served as Brian Kemp’s Chief of Staff and worked in the Secretary of State’s office during Kemp’s tenure, when Georgia adopted Dominion voting machines.
In my view, Rick Jackson lacks the experience and understanding of Georgia’s election system to challenge the existing establishment, which means Fleming and other longtime Kemp allies (China and WEF) will continue to shape Georgia’s election policy.
This race may have been the most consequential one on the ballot and will hurt Georgians the most.
